Single releases confirmed!

100% confirmed by Universal. Names and locations deleted to protect the innocent:

"Universal is going to announce full info on april 28th, 2008.
There will be 4 tracks released from the album in the lead up to its release in September - one a month for the next 4 months. A physical CD single and digital download will be made available simultaneously. The single versions are edits (each will have Mix 13 on the artwork per the attached) and not the album versions. None of the B sides will appear on the album.
The b-side on The Only One will be a song called Ny Trip".

  1. At last new singles! I wonder if the four singles relate to the four members of the band and then the 13th date of every month because its thier 13th studio album!?

  2. NY Trip? What, is this a sequel to Club America, only detailing how much he loves New Yorkers? Haha.

  5. @wigginsstephen: Four singles relating to the four members of the band would definitely go along with the "4Tour" name. :) That would be cool if each single was based off a different member's demo.

  6. OH MY GOD! This is great news! It's also a good bet that the Double album is going to be what Robert said it would be a long time ago... same songs with a bunch of instrumental tracks in between to make everything blend together... and these singles (Mix 13) will be the versions found on the single disc version of the new album!!!! That's my theory and I'm sticking to it until I'm proven wrong. :)

  8. I got goosebumps seeing that. I love love love the fact they're doing the collector's box again. That'll pair up nicely next to my Ltd. Edition 7" Lovebox. :)

  9. This is very exciting.

"NY Trip" sounds like it's one of the instrumental tracks.

I'll bet that we get 13 tracks on each CD of the double album (total 26 tracks) in addition to the 4 unique b-sides.
