'All Cats Are Grey' - Reflections Night 2

Another great video from Fujifezz! Doesn't matter, Lol, we love you! : ) And watch Fuji's 'Charlotte Sometimes', 'Primary', 'Holy Hour', 'Weedy Burton', and 'In Your House' clips, too.

  1. first time I seen or heard this. mistake, not that bad just one key off... if that, give the guy a break... besides that he wrote the song, maybe he improvised it.

  3. --great video! I'm sure that footage will be better than anything that shows up on the DVD!

It's cool when the person shooting the video knows whats going on in a song! Simon on bass near the end - staying on him... Robert sliding his pick on the strings... Lol at the end! Priceless!!!

This footage should be an Alternate Angle choice on the DVD.

  5. Haha, great last note! But man, I'm glad he's back. Furthermore: it's great to hear The Cure with keys again. Love 'em! Hope the show will arrive in Europe somewhere soon...

  6. Amazing footage! I agree with the comment on the camera movements- very instinctual, Bravo!

  7. That was brilliant. Lol's ending is part of the comedy that's always been there in this band! I bet that was a real high pressure moment, most people would find it hard to play something so slow/simple/final perfectly under those conditions, I reckon. I wonder what the other guys' faces looked like!? I'm still laughing...

  8. Love the way Robert looks into the crowd at the start and connects with the audience. I was in Zurich at a show a few yrs back, and I swear, he saw me with camera and gazed directly into the lens!!

  11. Lol hit the same key in both nights, so I dont think is really an error...

  12. No, the band all joked about it afterwards. But in a goodhearted way.

Let's not call it an error, just a different take on the ending. : )

There's another angle of it here.

  13. Looking at the video for Primary, Robert is playing a guitar (or six-string bass). Reports on the night said the arrangement was with two basses, just like the original recording.

    A mistake, I guess?

  14. totally other subject: does anyone know if the missing encores from trilogy 2nd night (m, play for today, a forest, grinding halt, boys don't cry) surfaced somewhere als audio file. thanks for your help!

  15. Hmm Lol hit it both nights? oops, I was gonna say that's why they do two nights but... : /

Not like robert's ever made a mistake, he misses lyrics all the time, and I've heard him botch a guitar line at a hometown show, they are human, incredibly talented humans, but human.

well at least it didn't sound that off just a little darker/deeper, and he played it with conviction, so it almost sounds right. ha.

can't wait for the official dvd/bray

  17. @GCS1 cureconnections has the whole first night (w/ encores) if you sign up for the forum here. haven't listened for quality or anything though, but it has m/play for today/a forest i think. they probably have the second night somewhere too but i didn't look.

  18. this is my favourite of the bunch. Cure fans should start a fund to get Fuji to all subsequent shows so that we can get amazing footage! ;)

  19. El Gonzi...the well-placed excitement must have interfered with your memory...Lol hit the perfect note the first night! :-)

  20. This is great, thank you Fuji!

  21. Ashtraygirl: Or it might be cheaper if we just start a fund to get me a camera like Fuji's and I'll pay for myself to get to the shows. : )

Nah, could never take myself out of the show like that, or be able to stay that still and focused.

Again, brilliant job, Fuji. And nice to know Jo was right there with you, getting that view, too.

Way to go, rock & roll Jo! : )

  24. Guys... it's pretty clear that Lol is playing the wrong note on purpose!

You can even see him moving around to get a better look through the equipment to see Robert's reaction. It's like a running gag, a bit of fun.

Do you really think Lol is unable to play the right note on such a simple song??

It's so good to see the band acting like a band comprised of friends - true friends - having a good time, doing what they love to do.

Thanks Robert! it's a lot easier to stay home and enjoy the good life - it takes guts to get "the old band" back together and go half way around the world to play a gig :) :) :)!!!

  25. @AC 2 basses meant the regular bass + the 6 sting bass (which looks like a regular guitar)
